A Guide to Installing Your Glue-Down LVT and Our Policy

Our glue-down LVT (Luxury Vinyl Tile) collections offer a seamless, durable, and elegant finish — but they do require careful and skilled installation to achieve the best results.

What is Glue-Down LVT?

Glue-down LVT is intended to be permanently adhered to a properly prepared subfloor using a suitable adhesive. This method ensures maximum stability, longevity, and a truly professional appearance.

Important Installation Guidelines:

• The subfloor must be clean, smooth, dry, level, and free from any contaminants. Any imperfections may show through and affect the performance of the floor.
• The room temperature should be maintained at a minimum of 15°C during installation. If underfloor heating is present, the surface temperature must not exceed 28°C.
• The LVT should be acclimatised in the room of installation for at least 24 hours before fitting.
• A recommended adhesive must be used, and both the adhesive and flooring manufacturer’s instructions should be carefully followed.
• We strongly recommend that installation be carried out by an experienced professional, as precise preparation and fitting are essential to achieve the intended finish and performance.

Buyer Responsibility

While The Floor Studio is committed to supplying the highest quality materials, it is the buyer’s responsibility to ensure they (or their chosen installer) have the necessary expertise to install glue-down LVT correctly.
